Discovery Toys Privacy Statement Discovery
Toys is sensitive to the privacy and security concerns of every
individual who visits our Corporate Web site or the company authorized
Web sites of our Educational Consultants. We are committed to protecting
your privacy and using your personal information responsibly. We believe
it is important for you to understand what information we will require
from you, how it will be used, and who will have access to that
information. The following
policies apply to our Web site, and our
authorized Consultant Web sites, which all begin with
discoverytoyslink.com. These are the only authorized DISCOVERY TOYS Web
sites available to the public. The
Information We Collect The
information we receive depends on what you do when you visit our sites.
Discovery Toys will not collect or retain any information about you
personally (that is, your name, address, telephone number or E-mail
address) unless you choose to provide it to us. On some pages, you can
choose to make requests or submit additional information at your
discretion. When you
visit our sites to read or download information, we collect and store
only the following: the name of the domain from which you access the
Internet (for example, aol.com, if you are connecting from an America
Online account), the date and time you access our site, and the Internet
address of the Web site from which you linked directly to our site. We
use this information to measure the number of visitors to the different
sections of our site and to help us make our site more useful to
visitors. All
information collected, aside from your IP (Internet Protocol) address,
is voluntarily submitted at your option. We only require information if
you choose to order products online, search online, or otherwise contact
us online. We hold your information confidential and we will take all
reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorized access.
We do not sell, rent or lend any of our customers’ or Educational
Consultants’ information, including lists of E-mail addresses, to
others. Our
use of "cookies" In general,
you can visit the public areas of our Web sites without telling us who
you are or revealing any information about yourself. When you view one
of our Web sites, we may store some information in the form of a
"cookie" or similar file that is automatically downloaded to
your computer. Cookies are data files sent by a web site to the user's
hard disk, although domain names are collected and not the E-mail
addresses of the user. This information is aggregated to measure the
number of visits, average time spent on the site, number of pages
viewed, and methods by which our site was found. We use this information
to evaluate the use of our site and to continuously improve the content
and service we provide, and make the site as accessible as possible. Our
use of cookies also helps us to protect the security of confidential
data. Your privacy and security are not compromised when you accept a
cookie from our Web site. If you do not want cookies sent to or stored
on your system, most Internet Browsers will allow you to delete cookies
from your computer hard drive, prevent them from being stored or signal
a warning before a cookie is stored. You should refer to your Browser
instructions or help screen to learn more about these functions.
The
Way We Use Information We use the
information you provide about yourself only for the purpose described on
the page requesting the information. We do not share this information
with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete the
process or to the extent required by law. We use return
E-mail addresses to answer the E-mail we receive. If you send us an
E-mail to ask a question we will only use your information to answer
your request. We will send out confirming E-mails whenever you make an
online purchase. Your E-mail address or other contact information will
not be provided to any third party without your prior consent. Finally, we
never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to
us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also
providing you an opportunity to opt out or otherwise prohibit such
unrelated uses. Consultant

Commitment To Children's Privacy Discovery

address, telephone number, age, or E-mail address) from persons under
thirteen years of age. If a parent or guardian of a child who has
provided us with such information would like the information deleted
from our records, he or she should contact us at
Contact@discoverytoys.net.
We will make reasonable efforts to delete the child’s information from
our existing files. Our
Commitment to Data Security To prevent
unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use
of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic,
and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we
collect online. Our data is protected by industry standard firewall and
password protection systems. We are aware
that you may be concerned about the privacy and confidentiality of your
personal information, including, in the case of a purchase of goods,
credit card and billing address information. Therefore, we have taken
precautions to ensure that this information is safe and secure. If you
registered with us, your online account information is protected by a
password chosen by you. Access to that online account requires your
username and password. We recommend that you do not disclose your
username and password to any other person. Additionally, concerning
credit card information, we protect your transactions using a technology
called Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). While on a secure page, such as in
our Shopping Cart, the lock icon on the bottom of Web Browsers such as
Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer shows the lock in the
closed position, as opposed to the open position displayed when you are
just 'surfing'. This means your information will automatically be
encrypted before being sent over the Internet. No data
transmission over the Internet will be 100% secure. While we take steps
to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security
of any information you transmit to us and you do so at your own risk.
Upon receiving your transmission, we make all reasonable efforts to
ensure its security on our systems. However, you are ultimately
responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your username, passwords
and/or any account information.
